Dr Nishmi Gunasingam

Dr Nishmi Gunasingam is a consultant gastroenterologist and hepatologist who works and resides in Wagga Wagga. She provides up to date care in a holistic fashion to patients who have problems with their gastrointestinal tract.  

She obtained her MBBS through the University of New South Wales (2009) and completed her junior medical years at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. She completed her gastroenterology training at St Vincent’s Hospital and St George Hospital, Sydney.  She then undertook a fellowship at the highly reputable King’s College Hospital, London undertaking further training in advanced endoscopy (endoscopic resection). 

She provides consultation on all gastroenterology and hepatology conditions. 

She is skilled in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy and colonoscopy. She has subspecialty experience in endoscopic resection of large polyps. 

Dr Gunasingam has published research in international peer reviewed journals and is committed to teaching medical students through the University of New South Wales and Notre Dame.

Dr Lindsay Chow

Dr. Lindsay Chow is a gastroenterologist who obtained Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (Hons) from the University of Melbourne in 1995 and Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2002. He has been providing endoscopic and internal medicine services in regional NSW for fifteen years. Dr. Chow has admitting rights to Wagga Base Hospital, Riverina Day Surgery, Calvary Riverina Hospital, Albury Wodonga Health, Albury Day Surgery and Albury Wodonga Private Hospital.

Dr Andrew Kim

Dr Andrew Kim is a Consultant Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist and visits monthly to Wagga Wagga through REGIONAL GI.

Dr Kim undertook his physician and advanced gastroenterology training at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and completed a fellowship in inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) at St Vincent’s Hospital Sydney and at the prestigious John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford. While in Oxford, he was selected as a member of the International IBD Working Group who led the development of the world’s first Standard Set of Outcome Measures for IBD in 2016 to help set the benchmark for quality of care in IBD.

Dr Kim provides consultation services in all aspects of general gastroenterology and hepatology as well as diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy services, with admitting rights to both St Vincent’s Public and Private Hospitals. As a staff specialist, he is actively involved in running a dedicated IBD service and several clinical trials at St Vincent’s Hospital including his own research focusing on the use of decision support tools for patients with ulcerative colitis
